For those people who would be interested in seeing a few interesting areas in Florence, like the Ponte Vecchio, the Arno, and a view of Florence from the hills that surround the city. I found two websites that allow you to do just that.
The first one has a one or more web cams and they alternate between looking one direction on the Arno (toward the Ponte Vecchio) to the other direction (toward Le Cascine). You can view it at Florence Live.
This other website allows you to get an updated still image from the Florentine hills facing Florence: www.zagaglioni.it.
For all those people interested in coming to Florence or wanting to see more, you can check out these web sites. I look at the first one to see what's going on outside sometimes. Technology is great!
