Celebrating three months

I like keeping track of dates, and I truly enjoy celebrating certain ones a lot. There are some dates that I do push back in my memory, but when the day comes, I seem to remember everything. Yesterday was our three-month anniversary. And to celebrate we went to dinner at Artegaia in Fiesole.

Alessandro selected this seafood restaurant because he had heard about it and wanted to try it out. I'm always game for trying new restaurants and sometimes it's nice to go out of Florence to eat: it seems almost festive for me.

The restaurant was in a building on the corner above a small river. There were only about six tables in the main dining room and possibly another four or five in the other one.

We ate to our heart's content by ordering one antipasto (appetizer) to split and then a primo (first course) and a secondo (main dish) each. I didn't think I could eat another bite until I saw a torta al cioccolato con pepperoncino servita calda (hot chocolate cake with pepper). The middle part of the torta oozed out and looked so good that I knew it had to taste just as good.

The food was so good that I'm hoping we can go back again. In the car home, I kept thinking of when we could go back. Maybe for our four-month anniversary?

Each 25th of the month I think back to our wedding and how it was one of the most happiest days in my life. It's only natural for me to want to celebrate it each month and to keep the memory alive. Each month that passes by fills me with joy and I am so fortunate to be in love. To love and be loved are the greatest gifts and I am forever grateful.
